Can You Tape a Credit Card Back Together
Might sound stupid and yeah I know I should order another one, which im going to (Takes 5 working days to get a new one.), but its my friends birthday 2moz and we plan on going out.
Has anyone put cello-tape on their card before and it still worked at an atm? seeing as my chip is ok.
I've heard blue-tack works well.

Why dont you borrow money from someone??
Someone came into where I work once and tried to use a card that had been cello-taped back together in the chip and pin machine, it worked fine, but they had obviously found the card and were guessing the pin number. I know that doesn't help to answer your question, but perhaps worth a mention.
I wouldn't recommend putting it into an ATM with cello-tape on it, I imagine it'll just jam it, or just swallow the card. You might just have to borrow money from someone until your new card arrives?
I think you can just walk into the bank and get cash out of your account in person. Would need ID obviously. Do not try taping your card together, you could jam the machine.
You should be able to take money out of your account without the card - go to the bank you hold an account with, make sure you take a recent statement and your passport/driving license. Any other bank documents might also be handy, but if you go in and explain what has happened they'll ask you a ton of security questions but then let you take out your dolla.
I'm sorry, snapping your card means you forfeit all the money in your account. Tough luck. It's the bank's money now.
Thanks for the replies. hopefully it all works out 2moz.
It wouldn't work.
You need to go into the bank to fill out some forms for a new one and stuff, and you can get some money out at the same time. I snapped mine by accident last year also, so...
Best idea is loan money off people and pay them back once you get your new card.
walked into an explosives shop the other day and wanted to buy a grenade with my debit card.
It all went horribly wrong when the cashier asked for my pin.
You just go into the bank with I.D. explain what happened they order you a new card and offer the option of allowing you to take out some money from the cashier.
Simple... I know this as this happened to me around 3 months ago
it does work! my mate had one that was shattered in to about 5 pieces and he carefully stuck it back with tape both sides
If you pray hard enough, it might just repair itself!
